ABOUT THE EVENT
One of the last true Race Weeks in America
The Bi-Annual Event held on odd years in June has been hosted by Storm Trysail Club since 1965.
A long tradition of fun coupled with great racing has afforded Storm Trysail Club fabulous memories, stories, and camaraderie in a beautiful and special place year after year. Become a part of it at the next event!

EVENT SCHEDULE
Block Island Race Week is five days of race activities both on and off the water. A variety of racing from buoys to distance and the coveted “Around the Island Race” is paired with a daily after sailing parties sponsored by our Race Partners.
REGISTRATION
Registration is done online before the event and check in begins on Sunday afternoon.
DAILY RACING
Racing starts each day at 11am (except for the pursuit class) and a vary from buoy to distance racing.
AWARDS
Daily awards are given to each class along with overall prizes for the top honors for the week.
SOCIALS
Sailing socials under the Race Tent each night afford sailors the chance to swap stories and laughs from the day’s racing.
AROUND THE ISLAND
The Race Committee will pick one day for all boats to race around the island. The day is chosen based on best weather forecast.
NO-WIND BACKUP PLANS
When the weather doesn’t cooperate, we have activities planned to keep even the most competitive sailors entertained.
LIVE MUSIC
Enjoy live music under the tent after racing from local and international artists.
ENJOY BLOCK ISLAND
The best part of Race Week is Block Island! From the beaches to restaurants, there is something for the whole family (or crew) to enjoy.

Recognizing Camaraderie and Dedication
The North Light Society is for those sailors and volunteers who have participated in at least five Storm Trysail Club Block Island Race Weeks, with graduating levels for the ten and fifteen regatta nautical-milestones.
