The Storm Trysail Club organizes a number of regattas around the U.S.

Most prominently it runs Block Island Race Week on odd-numbered years. Situated on the idyllic island of Block Island, off the coast of Rhode Island, Block Island Race Week has been run since 1965 and is a must-do event for sailors along the Eastern seaboard and across the country.

Other long-standing events include the Block Island Race and Ft. Lauderdale-Key West Race. These offshore contests take anywhere from 12 to 48 hours for competitors to complete and test navigators as they have to pass in and out of Long Island Sound or “rock hop” along the Florida Keys.

As fall descends on the country the club hosts the Annapolis Fall Regatta on Chesapeake Bay for crews heading south for the winter. And when January rolls around it’s time for Key West Race Week, which the club began hosting in 2016.

All in all, the Storm Trysail Club is an active host of all types of regattas.
