Donated by Katherine and Jim Murray, and first awarded in 2025, this trophy honors the team which achieves the best combined finish in the Great Lakes IOR and the IOR in Larchmont.

To be eligible for the award, a Qualifying Team shall meet the following requirements
beginning in calendar year 2025:
a. It must have competed in at least half of the IORS events held in a given
academic year and that season’s IOR and GLIOR;
b. It must represent a College or University or similar institution of higher
education (“School”) in which all team members are currently enrolled and in
good academic standing;
c. It may not include any Category 3 sailors as defined by World Sailing; and
d. If more than one team is entered in any event by a single school, before the
warning gun of the first race of the regatta, the School shall designate, in writing,
one team to be the Qualifying Team for that regatta. Notice shall be sent to the
Storm Trysail Club’s executive director or other such individual as the Storm
Trysail Club may designate.
