Two of the most respected names in offshore racing—the Storm Trysail Club (STC) and the Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC)—are partnering to bring the 2027 ORC North American Championship to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This seven-day championship will showcase a signature blend of offshore, coastal, and buoy racing in one of the world’s most iconic winter sailing venues.

A Premier Offshore Racing Experience

The 2027 championship is designed to test a full range of skills through a balanced and challenging race format:

  • One Long Offshore Race (18–24 hours): Navigate the Gulf Stream, manage weather transitions, and demonstrate offshore endurance.
  • Two Days of Windward/Leeward Racing: Precision boat handling, tight fleet racing, and pure speed.
  • One Short Coastal Race (6–10 hours): Strategy, positioning, and smart sail choices along South Florida’s dynamic coastline.
