Block Island Race Week is renowned not only for the thrilling competition on the water but also for the camaraderie shared at the post-sailing parties each evening. These gatherings are where sailors swap stories, celebrate victories, commiserate about the weather, and enjoy the unique community spirit that defines the event.
Friends and family who aren’t sailing are warmly invited to join the fun! The Storm Trysail Club is proud to host these memorable socials, with generous support from our sponsors. However, it's important to note that race entrance fees do not include access to the evening socials. To attend the six evening parties, all participating sailors and guests must purchase a wristband. Wristbands are $60 for the week.

What Wristbands Cover:
- Access to the tent and Block Island Race Week Race Village for 6 evening socials (Sunday-Friday).
- Entertainment, daily awards presentations, food offerings, and discounted beverages.
- Lightweight cloth wristbands that can be worn all week.
Drink Tickets:
- Discounted drinks are available via tickets through Champlin’s:
- $4 for beer/wine
- $8 for cocktails
- Tickets can be purchased onsite at Champlin’s during registration or anytime at their points of sale (Sugar Shack, Café, Dock Bar, Dock Office, etc.).
Important:
- Early Bird Rates End in January: Secure your wristbands now before prices increase.
- Underage Drinking Policy: Storm Trysail Club has a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking.
- IDs will be checked by bartenders, staff, and police onsite.
- If an underage person is caught drinking, the entire boat will be expelled from the event.
- Any Inappropriate behavior may also result in disqualification, referred to the onsite jury.

Q: Where do I pick up my wristbands?
- Wristbands will be included in the Skipper's Bags. All wristband purchases must be affiliated with a boat in the regatta.
Q: I’m switching crew mid-event. Do I need a new wristband?
- Wristbands are transferable if a crew member leaves the island. Bring the cut wristband to the Race Office for a replacement.
Q: Can I pre-purchase drink tickets?
- No. Due to state and local regulations, drink tickets must be purchased onsite at any Champlin’s point of sale (Sugar Shack, Café, Dock Office, Pool, Trader’s Bar, etc.).
Q: Are daily passes available?
- Daily passes may be available onsite only if space allows and are not guaranteed.
Q: Is there a discounted price for non-drinkers?
- No. The wristband cost covers food, entertainment, and event costs. There are also non-alcholic beverages available.
Q: Can I attend awards without a wristband?
- No. Due to the Race Village layout, a wristband is required to attend awards.
- Awards can be picked up later in the Duty Office if you miss the ceremony.
- Note: Awards will not be shipped, so please arrange for pick-up.
Q: Can I purchase a wristband for a non-sailor?
- Yes! Families and friends of sailors are welcome.
- Children under 5 are free.
- Please indicate which boat you are associated with when purchasing, as wristbands will be placed in the Skipper's Bag.
