Juniors Can Learn Valuable Offshore Survival Skills on Shore and On the Water.
Participants must be proficient at basic sailing and over the age of 14. You must know how to sail. Deadline to register is June 7, 2025.

Course Curriculum:
- Crew Overboard Prevention and Recover (On Shore discussion)
- Introduction to Weather
- Dealing with Adverse Weather on Dinghy and Keel Boats
- Hands on On-the-Water Session with Crew Overboard Recovery
- Hands on Emergency Radio Communication
- Hands on Fire Suppression
- Hands on Flare Use
Seminar Schedule:
0900h to 1600h
What to Bring:
The seminar will be an all-day affair. You will be in the classroom and on the water.
- Dress appropriately for the weather (sailing rain or shine)
- Appropriate boating shoes. No flip flops or sandals
- Sunblock, hat
- USCG approved PFD (contact in advance if you don’t have one)
- Water Bottle
- A notebook and pen or pencil
