I enjoy racing and cruising anywhere and as often as possible. While I live in the Pacific Northwest and have cruised and raced there aboard my Swan 39, Rocket J. Squirrel. I relocated Rocket to the East coast and currently do some racing in Newport, RI and cruising in the Caribbean and the Med. Having done several Bermuda Races and transatlantics, I appreciate, enjoy and understand the importance of seamanship in the open ocean. In person SAS courses I find are entertaining and a great way to learn and be refreshed on all things Safety at Sea. I currently serve as Vice Commodore of the CCA and am actively engaged in promoting CCA's "culture of safety" and am pleased to see that this symposium is being organized.
