Following a strong start racing dinghies in high school and college, Erica spent 7 years building offshore and big boat experience. Summers saw her returning to Newport to race and eventually captain several 12-Meter Yachts. In 2019 she joined "Maiden" in a circumnavigation, raising awareness for girls' education while building up female sailors in the sport. She now has her sights set on shorthanded competition, and of course more ocean racing.
