Charlie Arms is the Executive Director of Brendan Sailing, a non-profit that builds self-confidence in youth with learning differences through sailing. For 16 years she was the Director of Sailing at the California Maritime Academy which hosted many US Sailing Safety at Sea seminars. Arms built the Intercollegiate Offshore Sailing team, winning the Kennedy Cup and qualifying for the Intercollegiate Sailing World cup twice. As the daughter of a naval officer and avid sailor, she learned to sail at the Navy Sailing Club in San Diego and has taught sailing most of her life. She has sailed across the Atlantic and from California to Hawaii twice as well as many coastal passages.
