Nassau Cup Ocean Race

Starting in South Florida, racers leave Great Isaacs Light to starboard and proceed past Great Stirrup Light, finally finishing at Nassau harbor.

Lauderdale Race

An annual 160 mile race in Florida held each winter. Started in 1975, the race runs down the coast of Florida as one of the most tactically challenging of the winter as crews must avoid reefs and coast lines to ensure victory.

Down The Bay

The Down the Bay Race is a 120 nautical mile distance race from Annapolis to Hampton. It is open to all monohull and multihull sailboats meeting the

requirements listed below.
Jointly organized by the Hampton Yacht Club and Storm Trysail Club-Chesapeake Station.

Block Island Race

The Block Island Race was first held in 1946 and is a qualifier for the North Ocean Racing Trophy (ORC), the Double Handed Ocean Racing Trophy (ORC), the New England Lighthouse Series (PHRF) and the Gulf Stream Series (ORC). The Block Island Race is also a qualifier for the Caper, Sagola and Windigo trophies awarded by the YRA of Long Island Sound and the “Tuna Trophy” for the best combined ORC scores in the Edlu and Storm Trysail Block Island Race.

Monhegan Race

Portland Yacht Club’s flagship offshore event was first held in 1928. Storm Trysail Club partners with Monhegan Island Race to help with shoreside Race Management.

Ted Hood Regatta

The Annual Storm Trysail Club Ted Hood Regatta is held in Marblehead mid August withEastern Yacht Club. The regatta is open to all boats with a valid PHRF New England certificate, an ORC certificate, J70, and J105 Class boats. A Distance Ocean Race Friday night for full crewed or Double-Handed racers, and Jib & Main classes.

Shearwater Regatta

An annual fall regatta held in the early fall formerly known as as Long Island Sound Championships.
This regatta is a qualifier for both the Shearwater and Navigator Trophies which will be awarded to the boat with the best combined score for the YRALIS Championships and the STC/RYC LIS Championships.

Great Lakes Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta

The GLIOR is an annual fall regatta that provides an opportunity for collegiate sailors to experience the excitement of offshore keel-boat racing.

Larchmont Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta

Initially established the early 1970’s by The Corinthians. This invitational regatta for college sailors is held annually out of Larchmont Yacht Club and brings together keel boat owners and young sailors for an opportunity to go head to head each Fall. We typically have 32-35 teams for 2 days.

Wirth M. Munroe

The Wirth M. Munroe yacht race is held on the first Friday in December.
First sailed in 1957, the race begins the winter ocean racing circuit in South Florida. The course presents challenging conditions as yachts must consider the vagaries of the Gulf Stream and the passing of the season’s first frontal systems.
