Larchmont, N.Y., September 27, 2017 - After the successful running of the 27th Storm Trysail Club Block Island Race Week, the Storm Trysail Club Rear Commodore and 28th Block Island Race Week Chairman, Ed Cesare, has announced the dates for the next biennial event - Sunday, June 23rd through Friday, June 28th, 2019.

The 2017 Block Island Race Week was characterized by some of the best sailing conditions ever in one of the best regatta venues anywhere. The 150-boat fleet featured everything from top-end one-designs like the J/109 and C&C 30 classes, to the IRC North American Championships, and even a large and enthusiastic group of cruiser-racers.

The Performance Cruising Division enjoyed pursuit starts around navigator courses and had some of the most fun out there. A few of these competitors even lived aboard their boats for the week - harkening back to the roots of this classic event. Who knows? We might even see a return of the morning Dixieland jazz band!

The Storm Trysail Club looks forward to building on this year’s success in 2019.
